Meet Boomer
I can finally show you a preview of the book I'm working on! This is not a final illustration, but it's a few steps before completion, and I couldn't wait to share.
Let me introduce you to the charming character, Boomer, created by debut children's book author, Vanessa Keel. Boomer is a goofy service-dog-in-training who tries his best but doesn't get it right at first.
Below I share some of the preliminary character sketch explorations and a thumbnail color test. Can't wait to share the finished book. I'll let you all know when it's published!

No, not this year! This year, I spent May celebrating my son’s birthday and finishing up the school year as an art teacher. Here’s my favorite image from his birthday!
